We are a small publishing company in Menominee, Michigan. We publish niche travel books, outdoor books, and more. In addition to publishing, we offer website design, consulting, and other services to authors who wish to explore the different options available for self publishing. Meet the owners:
Gene Check, owner of Real Outdoors Co, is an entrepreneur, author, and cannabis activist. He served on the Northern WI NORML board of directors from 2013-2023. For over 30 years, he commercially harvested wild crayfish, turtles, beaver, leeches, minnows, mayflies, and other wild fishing bait in Wisconsin. He has published several pamphlets and books in the past 30 years. His most recent publications include:

Jay Selthofner is a business consultant, hemp farmer, political analyst, and cannabis activist in Wisconsin. He co-founded Northern Wisconsin NORML in 2010 and served as the chapter’s first Executive Director. He later served as the Treasurer until 2023. He also founded the Wisconsin Cannabis Activist Network (WISCAN) in 2010. Jay is an independent reporter of cannabis-related political news. His family owns Heritage Hemp Farm and the annual From the Land Folk Art Festival in Green Lake, Wisconsin, which draws over 3,000 visitors annually.

Jessica Struzik is a professional website developer, photographer, and cannabis activist. She founded Greeen Web Design in 2000. She co-founded Northern WI NORML in 2010 and served as the Secretary until 2023. She became a Michigan medical marijuana caregiver and patient in 2014. She founded the Chamber of CannaBiz in 2015.
